expanding latitude by yoshi sodeoka
Expanding Latitude employs colors indicative of nature, climate, and geography, and filters them through a seamless loop. As always with infinite loops, the loop is constantly creating and erasing, much like the earth. The images may appear to be analog since they are psychedelic-leaning, but they are entirely digitally created. The video feedback is derived from organic computing and its adaptive and unpredictable nature, along with the support of plugins used to manipulate the piece. Watching the loop appears as if the viewer is watching a time-lapse of the earth, ebbing and flowing, like an ocean.
